Chihuahua Photo Puppy

The dogs should be weaned at 8 weeks of age and provided with basic socialization and obedience training. This breed is considered to be very difficult to housetrain. These dogs should be handled with care and given lots of attention to be happy. They are distrustful toward other dogs and reserved with strangers. These little creatures are very protective around their owners and can be dangerously bold with larger dogs. They are very fragile and large dogs can be a serious menace for them. They should not be trusted with young or poorly behaved children either.

The little dogs of this breed are very similar to small children that bond very intensely to their owners, and are miserable when not with them. You'll have to teach and train them and do not pay attention when they cry, otherwise they may become too demanding. However, pups can and must be taught not to bark, because otherwise they will become unbearably vocal. These dogs are prone to separation anxiety and hence should not be left alone for a long time.
