This dog makes a unique family companion, and it is not intended for solitary life. These dogs are very pretty, affectionate and loving. It is the smallest breed of dog in the world and the only natural toy breed. The size of these creatures varies from 2 to 12 pounds, but show quality dogs should not exceed 6 pounds. These dogs are easy to recognize by their well rounded head and a tiny muzzle. The eyes of these dogs are large and luminous; to lubricate such eyes, the dogs produce a large amount of tears. The ears of the dogs are large and held erect.
